Scientific activity
The scientific activity was developed along 30 years on Immunology and Immunopathology subjects, mainly focused on oncologic themes and gene therapy approaches in experimental models. The central theme of the research activity is attributable to the study of the mechanisms at the basis of the immunological alterations in the presence of a tumor. The main research fields can be identified as follows:
1) Research on the physiology and pathology of the immune system
2) Study of the immune alteration in the presence of neoplasm
3) Immunotherapy and anti-tumor vaccination approaches by means of viral vectors, peptides or DNA vaccines
4) Functional genomics
